New and Improved System for Onboarding New Cooper Team Members

We are happy to announce a new and improved system for managers to automatically obtain user IDs and passwords for new Cooper team members. The new streamlined process will use the Sailpoint Identity and Access Management platform to automatically generate network (Active Directory) accounts for new Cooper team members to allow them access to our IT systems. The new system is now live.

Managers will simply request access for a new team member as they currently do. If managers use either ServiceNow or iCooper, they will continue to use the same system for their request. Thereafter, the manager will receive an email from Sailpoint (example below) with the user ID and password for their new team member.

Additionally, Sailpoint will create Epic accounts for specific identified roles. We are starting with 109 roles (click here for list of those roles). More roles will be added weekly, with updates provided every Monday.

Temporary Password: first initial of the employee’s first name (uppercase), the first two letters of the employee’s last name (lowercase) followed by the following:

For example, if your team members name is John Smith, the temporary password will be as follows: JsmitIni2t!

If an Epic account was created, the user ID and the password are the same as the network user ID and password. The user must update the temporary password on their Cooper network account first, before using that password for Epic.
