Join the Rise for Equity This Friday

One in five U.S. adults experience mental illness, which is treatable and often preventable. However, access to resources can be unequal, particularly for people of color seeking mental health care.

Please join the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Department as they explore the current state of race and racism in the field of behavioral health on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Conference Center, Room CC121 in the main hospital.

Attendees will learn new tools to discuss race and racism with patients while respecting their diverse backgrounds, as well as how to apply these tools to help clients from marginalized communities cope with racial stress and trauma.

*Attendees are eligible for CME credits for this talk*

This is a hybrid event with the option to attend in person or virtually via Microsoft Teams. To RSVP, click here or scan the QR code on the flyer. Once registered, you will receive a Teams link to join the meeting.

A catered breakfast will be provided including eggs and potatoes, assorted meats, pancakes, muffins, danishes, and bagels as well as coffee, juice, and water.
