TOMORROW: Epic Hyperdrive Transition

Earlier this month, several pilot locations went live with Epic Hyperdrive, which will replace the existing Epic Classic client. On Wednesday, April 24, 3024, all Cooper computers will make this transition. For more information, click here. Please see below for key details.

Why is Cooper doing this now?

Epic is transitioning to a more modern, web-based delivery system via Hyperdrive, which will allow for continued development of new features and improved functionality. Because Epic will no longer provide updates or support for the Classic client as a result of this transition, Cooper must make this upgrade.

How will I access Epic?

On April 24, Hyperdrive icons will be pushed to the desktop of all Cooper computers. Once these icons appear on your computer, you can begin using them immediately.

When the push is completed to all online computers, the existing “Epic EMR” icon will be removed from those computers.

What if there are issues during the transition?

Please contact the Service Desk at 856.968.7166 to report any issues and specify that you are reporting a Hyperdrive issue. If you cannot work around the issue in Hyperdrive and must return to the Classic client, instructions are included in the document here.
