Cooper Celebrated Juneteenth

Last week, the Cooper community came together to celebrate Juneteenth—a holiday that marks the full realization of the Emancipation Proclamation and the liberation of slaves in America. Through music, dance, and solidarity, our team paid tribute to the legacy of African and African American slaves, while also embracing a future built on equality. Cooper held events at our Camden, Cherry Hill, Moorestown, and Voorhees locations, and participated in several community events in neighboring townships.

Vice President of Diversity and Talent Acquisition, Ardella Coleman, opened Cooper’s celebrations, which were sponsored by Cooper’s African American Empowerment Enterprise (AAEE) Team Resource Group. During this commemoration of freedom, AAEE leadership team member DaNesha Phillips sang Amazing Grace, accompanied by members of the New York Fellowship Mass Choir. Pastor David Wright, the choir, and his band also lent their voices and uplifting songs in celebration of the holiday.
