Celebrating National Rehabilitation Awareness Week

It’s National Rehabilitation Awareness Week and Cooper is proud to recognize the invaluable contributions of our rehabilitation professionals and highlight the importance of rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities or injuries.

We celebrate the dedication and expertise of our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language therapists who work in inpatient and ambulatory settings to help individuals recover and reach their full potential.

Cooper’s inpatient rehabilitation specialists include more than 50 occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech language pathology professionals. Cooper’s inpatient rehab team works with patients of all ages in collaboration with the health care teams at Cooper University Hospital and Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional to help determine the safest discharge plan and to help start the rehabilitation process.

Cooper’s outpatient rehabilitation specialists consist of many physical, occupational, and speech and language therapists, as well as physical therapist assistants, certified occupational therapy assistants, and rehabilitation aides who support several outpatient locations from Camden to Cape May County.

In addition to providing traditional rehabilitation services, some therapists are certified in specialized types of therapy, including pelvic floor, oncology (cancer rehab), lymphedema, vestibular/concussion, bone health (osteopenia/osteoporosis), and injuries to the elbow, wrist, and hand.

We thank our rehabilitation team members for their dedication to advancing the care of our patients.
