Medical students at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University proudly hosted the lively and inspiring 9th Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Walk on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the heart of Camden.
The event, bursting with energy and community spirit, brought together medical students, pediatric hematology/oncology physicians from Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper, pediatric residents, and families of young patients. Kicking off at 10:45 a.m. with smiles and enthusiasm, the walk looped around the Cooper Health Sciences campus, spreading awareness and sharing knowledge about sickle cell disease during National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. It was a day of fun, education, and unity!
