National Physical Therapy Month honors the meaningful differences that physical therapy practitioners make in the lives of patients. Physical therapists and physical therapist assistants empower people to take an active role in their care. They work with each other, and other health care providers, to ensure patients receive the best care. They are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement. They work with people of all ages and abilities.
Physical therapy can help people:
- Maintain or restore as much function as possible.
- Overcome barriers to physical activity.
- Manage pain safely and improve movement problems.
The physical therapy professionals at Cooper work with patients in our hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation offices from Camden to the Cape.
Thank you to our Physical Therapy team members for supporting our patients this month and all year long.
