On October 23, 2024, Cooper Community Outreach and pediatric PGY-2 residents Adman AhmedUddin, DO; Katherine Hernandez, MD; and Prutha Mehta, DO, attended Preschool Night at The Martha F. Wilson Early Childhood Development Center.
The event connected parents with Cooper Pediatrics and provided a back-to-school health checklist. The pediatric team engaged in meaningful conversations with parents about the importance of regular health checkups, vaccinations, and wellness screenings, sharing valuable resources to support parents in managing their children’s health throughout the school year. Attendees received nutrition fact flyers, lunch boxes, backpacks, and water bottles for their children, fostering Cooper’s continued support for families as the school year begins.
Families were also informed about some of Cooper’s community programs:
- No Kid Hungry Program offers fresh produce every Thursday at Cooper Pediatric Care at Three Cooper Plaza in Camden, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
- Smart Bites Program hosts nutrition classes every fourth Thursday of the month from 5 to 6 p.m., and from 6 to 7 p.m. for Spanish speakers, at Center for Family Services,400 Mount Vernon Street, Camden, NJ 08103.
