Jennifer Torres, a staff nurse from Pavilion 6 at Cooper University Hospital, was announced as the DAISY Award winner for August 2024. Jennifer’s dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provides to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolades:
“She has gone above and beyond with her care of me during my stay. I came to Cooper after a fall and after I was cleaned by the trauma ER, I was lucky enough to be put in a room with her. She called my daughter on her personal cellphone so I could facetime her. She even left me her cell so my daughter could stay online while I met with a social worker. Her kindness also is evidenced by helping me clean the blood out of my hair. She also searched for my wedding ring and found it. Saving my marriage of over 50 years. She even went so far as to get me Starbucks coffee on her own. I truly hope you realize what a spectacular nurse you have. She deserves all the awards. Thank you for letting me share this feedback.”
