The Asclepian is a collection of art, poetry, writing from students, faculty, and team members from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) and Cooper University Health Care. Previous issues can be found here for inspiration.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 6, 2025. Please send submissions to the.asclepian@gmail.com.
Submission guidelines:
- Submissions must be unpublished, original work on a medical topic and/or your experience in the medical field.
- It may take the form of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and art of any medium (as long as it can be photographed or scanned to be added to the magazine).
- Please include the author’s name, department affiliation, and the title of the work (as well as original medium for art pieces).
- Anonymous submissions will also be considered.
- We will consider submissions from all students, faculty, and team members from all departments.
- Submissions cannot include visual art or literary pieces fully originating from AI, with art pieces in particular not allowed to be created using AI with the exception of AI modulated tools in programs such as Adobe Photoshop used for editing digital photography. If AI is used in any way to edit or help in creating a piece, the artist must describe how AI was used upon submission.
