On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, we celebrated the groundbreaking for Project Imagine – an important project that will benefit Cooper University Health Care and the Camden community for years to come. Since 2022, when we announced the ambitious Project Imagine plans to expand and modernize Cooper’s Health Sciences Campus in Camden, our dedicated team, along with community groups and leaders, have been hard at work on the logistics of making it a reality. We are now at the point where the work begins.
What to Expect:
To ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists, the sidewalks adjacent to the construction site of Cooper’s new hospital tower, one lane of MLK Boulevard, and the shoulder of Haddon Avenue that runs along the hospital campus are now closed to public traffic. These closures will remain in effect for the duration of the construction project.
Team members walking and using the sidewalks to go to and from 101 Haddon will need to take an alternate path. Safe crossings are indicated on the map below.
Please be extra cautious as large trucks and equipment will be arriving and departing from the construction site at various times. Click here for the latest updates on Project Imagine.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
