DAISY Award Winner – Olivia Hartmann, BSN, RN

Olivia Hartmann, BSN, RN, a night shift staff nurse from Trauma Step Down Unit on the North 7 unit at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, was announced as the DAISY Award winner for November 2024. Olivia’s dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provided to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolades.

“After a traumatic car accident and laying in the emergency room for 12 hours without being moved to a room and being lost in the shuffle of a very busy area of the hospital, I finally felt seen and heard for the first time. She was my nurse and was like a real angel on earth. Her kindness, knowledge, and support were evident from the moment I met her. I was lucky to have her as a nurse two nights in a row. After feeling dismissed about my pain or my feelings on the day shift that Friday, I felt relieved, and a life came back when she returned Friday evening. I consistently watched her do the job of two people with a smile on her face. She was there for me every time I needed meds, the bathroom, a pillow. There was nothing she was not willing to do. I was surprised that a hospital with Cooper’s reputation mishandled so many things with my stay. She was one of the three good nurses and that will leave an impact on my heart.”
