March is Child Life Month, a time to honor the special work of certified child life specialists and other members of Cooper’s Child Life Program. These professionals are instrumental in supporting and helping children and families navigate stressful experiences across various settings. Through preparation, distraction, play, and creative expression, they provide crucial support to enhance coping mechanisms and create emotionally safe environments.
At Cooper, our child life specialists, child activities assistants, and creative arts therapists use their knowledge and experiences with children and adolescents to assess each child’s needs, resulting in more positive hospital interactions.
Join us in thanking the team for their dedication to pediatric health care. The Dunkin’ community cruiser will be visiting the Cooper Camden Campus in honor of Child Life Month on Tuesday, March 25, for all team members to enjoy.
