Weapons Screening System Coming to Cooper Camden

In our ongoing effort to enhance the safety of our team members, patients, and visitors, we are pleased to announce the implementation of a new weapons screening system at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, effective Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

If successful, we will plan to add more weapons screening systems at other Cooper facilities in the future. The decision to expand the rollout of this system will be based on a thorough risk assessment and careful resource allocation.

This innovative system integrates advanced sensors, cameras, and artificial intelligence (AI) to detect potential threats while allowing harmless personal items to pass through without interruption. When a potential threat is detected, real-time image-aided alerts will notify security officers, pinpointing the location of the potential threat on a person or within their bag.
