From May 1 through 15, our NICU team went above and beyond during our Kangaroo Care Awareness event—achieving an amazing 173.2 hours of skin-to-skin bonding time. That’s 10,392 minutes of comfort, love, and healing for our babies and families!
Kangaroo Care is the practice of holding newborns skin-to-skin to promote bonding, stabilize heart rates, improve oxygen levels, and support overall development, which is especially important for our NICU babies.
Your compassion, dedication, and teamwork made this two-week initiative a huge success. Because of you, wonderful things are happening in our NICU every day.
