Cooper Nurses Recognized at the South Jersey Chapter of National Black Nurses Association Award Ceremony

The South Jersey Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (SJCNBNA) held its 2025 Scholarship and Award Ceremony on May 3, 2025, at The Legacy Club at Woodcrest in Cherry Hill, NJ.

This year’s event theme, “Nurse Wellness Strengthens Healthcare and Communities,” celebrated the achievements of nursing students and professionals, highlighting their contributions to health equity and community service. Two Cooper nurses were recognized at this event:

  • Nowai Brapoh, PhD, RN, NPD-BC, AVP of Nursing Quality, Professioanl Practice, and Innovation, received the Excellence in Executive Nursing Leadership Award.
  • Taylor Johnson, BSN, RN, staff nurse on P8 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, received the Excellence in Clinical Education.

It was a day of inspiration and recognition, fostering a sense of community and empowerment among attendees.
