Camden Residents Graduate Into the Trades to Build Cooper’s “Project Imagine”

Thirty-three Camden residents are stepping into the future with hard hats in hand as they graduate from the Camden Gateway Pre-Apprenticeship Program, officially joining local building trades unions to help construct Cooper’s transformative campus expansion, Project Imagine.

Launched through a partnership between Cooper and local unions, the program prepares Camden residents for lifelong careers in the skilled trades. Selected through a competitive interview process, this inaugural cohort will now help bring Project Imagine—the multi-year expansion that broke ground in January—to life. The graduation ceremony took place on Monday, July 21, at Camden County College’s Camden Technology Center Auditorium followed by a celebratory reception. The graduation promises moments of pride and recognition—including remarks from John Vazquez, Esq., Cooper’s Chief Legal Officer. To watch a video of his remarks, click here.
