July is Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month. Every year, we recognize the strength, resilience, and unique smiles of those born with cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial conditions. These are among the most common birth differences in the United States—and while the causes are not always known, the impact on lives is clear.
At Cooper University Health Care, we’re proud to celebrate 46 years of comprehensive, compassionate care through our Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Program. Our interdisciplinary team works closely with patients and families to support every stage of their journey—from infancy through adulthood.
Cooper’s program is designated by the NJ Department of Health and meets the highest standards set by the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA), placing us among a select group of programs nationwide.
Let’s continue to raise awareness, share stories, and support those affected by cleft and craniofacial differences.
