Local Students Deputized as Superheroes

As part of the Camden City School District’s National Preparedness Month activities, Barry Hunter, EMT, and Misti Martin, MICP, of Cooper’s Emergency Medical Services team, joined members of the Camden County Police Department and Camden Fire Department during visits to three Camden schools. The group talked to students about the importance of listening and following directions during an emergency. They also read short stories about preparedness and performed mock drills in the classrooms. Students received gold badges for their participation, and were deputized as superheroes.
