2019 Performance Bonus

Cooper University Health Care has had another successful year. You have worked hard and we are on target to meet many of our goals including our budget goal.

As you know, we are in a very competitive market. This means our continued success depends upon each of us doing all we can to improve the health care experience for our patients, their families, and our colleagues.

We can be proud of a number of significant accomplishments Cooper achieved in 2019, including:

  • Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Top Performing Hospital for treating congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
  • Received the prestigious 2019 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, placing us among the top 5% of hospitals in the nation for patient safety.
  • One of only 88 hospitals to receive national recognition for meritorious outcomes in surgical care from the American College of Surgeons.
  • Received five-star ratings from Healthgrades for outcomes in treatment of bowel obstructions, and defibrillator procedures.
  • Earned re-certification of The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® and the American Heart Association’s/American Stroke Association’s Heart-Check mark as an advanced comprehensive stroke center.
  • Earned our third consecutive grade of “B” for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group.

In recognition of your contribution to Cooper’s success this year, we will be awarding all non-managerial staff a performance bonus.

On December 20, 2019, you will receive bonuses as follows:

  • Full time staff will receive a $500 bonus (hired prior to 10/1/19).
  • Part time staff will receive a $175 bonus (hired prior to 10/1/19).
  • Residents and fellows will receive a $500 bonus.
  • Per Diem staff will receive a $125 bonus (worked 1,000 hours, or more, as of 12/15/19).
