The free, Cooper employee flu vaccination program began in late September and hundreds of you have already taken advantage of it. If you haven’t gotten your flu shot yet, there are still a few opportunities for you to obtain your vaccination both within the hospital as well as for outpatient offices throughout the health system. We look forward to your full compliance as we work together to protect our staff and our patients from the transmission of flu.
Highlights of the policy for vaccination are as follows:
• All Cooper personnel are required to have an annual influenza vaccination.
• When vaccination is not possible, wearing a surgical mask while in clinical areas is required in order to prevent spread of the virus.
• The full policy can be accessed on the Cooper Portal with the schedule of vaccination dates.
• All employees must adhere to the policy by December 1, 2014, unless Infection Control identifies an earlier date.
