DAISY Award Winner Patricia Pearlman, RN

Patricia Pearlman, RN, was one of two Daisy Award winners for December 2021

Pat’s dedication to Cooper Nursing and the extraordinary care she provided to our Cooper patients earned her the following accolades.

“Pat went above and beyond while caring for our son. We were ready to be discharged and she advocated to keep Mason in the NICU and he ended up staying for 12 days. Mason needed more time to learn how to eat properly. Without Pat advocating to keep Mason in the hospital, as new parents we would have been discharged and unfortunately would have been turning back around. Pat inspired trust in a very scary situation and advocated for our son when I felt lost and couldn’t advocate for him myself. Pat inspired me, as I am also a nurse. I loved seeing how the physicians valued her input and experience in our son’s care. We are so lucky to have had Pat as Mason’s nurse that day and days following our initial encounter. I am so very grateful for the care he received from Pat. She embodies all the great qualities of a nurse – compassionate, caring, and a true patient/family advocate.”
