To help reduce waste, Cooper will begin reprocessing our sequential compression device (SCD) sleeves in the hospital and at Cooper Surgery Center at Voorhees. SCDs are used on patients’ legs – they inflate and deflate to promote circulation in the lower extremities and help prevent clots in patients who are less mobile. In the coming weeks, you will begin to see special hampers for the collection of SCDs. Please help reduce our hospital waste by ensuring that you use these hampers.
