National Volunteer Week

This week is National Volunteer Week. It is an opportunity to recognize and thank volunteers who lend their time, talent, voice, and support to Cooper University Health Care. Their stories inspire others to take action, realize their power, and make a difference to our patients, visitors, and team members.

Cooper’s volunteers can be seen in many areas of the hospital. They are on patient care floors where they interview patients for the Story Catcher program; they round on patients to provide education on fall prevention; and they visit our elderly patients to play games, read, and work on coloring projects. You may also see volunteers in Cooper’s surgical access center escorting surgery patients to the holding area.

In addition to our hospital volunteers, Cooper also has volunteers at the Cooper Specialty Care in Cherry Hill, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, and other Cooper locations.
