National Minority Health Month Colloquium at the New Jersey Department of Health

The Cooper Community Health Team recently attended the National Minority Health Month Colloquium at the New Jersey Department of Health. The event focused on the importance of health equity and the challenges and opportunities facing minority populations in accessing quality health care.

Speakers at the colloquium highlighted the critical role of community-based organizations in promoting health equity and providing culturally competent care to underserved populations. They also discussed the need for innovative approaches to health care delivery, to increase access to care for minority populations.

The event provided the Community Health Team with a valuable opportunity to learn about the latest trends and best practices in minority health and wellness. They were able to connect with other health care professionals and community organizations and share their experiences and insights on delivering high-quality, culturally responsive care to underserved populations.
