Beginning Monday, May 8, 2023, a manhole installation conducted by the City of Camden will affect access to the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University parking garage. The project will affect all Cooper team members who park in the Medical School Garage.
While construction is underway, Benson Street will remain closed west of Broad Street. Signage will direct drivers around the construction area to the garage entrance. Pedestrians can enter and exit the garage using the vehicle entrance along Benson Street.
To access the Medical School Garage, take Mickel Blvd. eastbound to southbound 5th Street, to eastbound Washington Street, to northbound Williams Street, to westbound Benson Street, to the garage entrance.
Camden County Metro Police will be on site at the garage 24/7 during construction, and security mobile patrols and Camden County Sheriffs’ Office patrols will continue to conduct checks of the garage.
