Nurse Spotlight: Samantha Malsbury, RN

There are nurses. And then there are Cooper nurses.

Meet Samantha Malsbury, RN!

Q: What unit do you work on and how long have you been with Cooper?

I’m a hospital pool nurse and I’ve worked at Cooper for five years!

Q: Why did you become a nurse?

My mom has worked at a long-term care facility for more than 30 years, and my sister is an occupational therapist. I knew I also wanted to work in health care. Nurses have the opportunity to get to know their patients while caring for them and that is one of my favorite things.

Q: What do you love the most about being a nurse?

I love going home knowing I made a difference in someone’s day. I also love knowing I took care of someone’s loved one to the best of my ability because I know how stressful it can be to have a loved one in the hospital.

Q: What do you need to get through your 12-hour day?

Starbucks!!!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I like working out and taking my pup, Benji, for long walks. I also love spending time with my friends and family.

Thanks, Samantha!
