MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper Receives Donation From Camden County Police Department and Family of Officer

The Camden County Police Department and the family of Officer Matthew Sviben have once again donated proceeds from their “No Shave November” campaign to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper in honor of Officer Sviben.

Officer Sviben was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer in January 2020, just days after graduating from the police academy and joining the Camden County Police Department. In September 2021, he sadly lost his courageous fight to the disease at the age of 28. Members of the Camden County Police Department grew out their mustaches, beards, and sideburns during the month-long observance to raise funds to advance colon cancer research and help conquer the disease.
