We’re pleased to announce the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) expansion project. This project will improve the patient throughput process and enable our teams to operate more efficiently using a care team model for patient care. Please see below for project details and how it may affect you.
- Project Overview: We’re adding a 5,010 square feet extension and 15 new patient areas to our existing CDU.
- Purpose: Our current space is operationally undersized for the volume of patients we serve. By reconfiguring and expanding the CDU, we’ll enhance function, compliance, and overall patient experience.
- Impact: During the project, Kelemen Circle will be temporarily closed. Six parking spots will be available for emergency patient drop-off; all vehicles will be asked to perform a K-turn to exit the circle during the temporary closure. Additionally, the Keleman shuttle stop will be relocated to MLK Blvd. Click here for more details.
- Timeline: The circle closure is scheduled from Thursday, February 22 to June 2024.
Thank you for your support as we continue to improve the Cooper Patient Experience.
