On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Cooper Community Outreach had an opportunity to celebrate and recognize Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a health fair with the Center for Family Services. Tondalya DeShields, Cancer Screening Project Coordinator, led a presentation that shed light on the risk factors associated with the disease, including age, family history, lifestyle choices, and certain medical conditions. The session aimed to empower individuals with vital information about colorectal cancer and its prevention strategies.
