National Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15 marks the official start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs through October 15, 2024. This special month celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Join Cooper’s Latinos Unidos Team Resource Group in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with Wepa Wednesdays! Starting September 18, the Cooper University Hospital Cafeteria in Camden will showcase delicious menu items from diverse Hispanic cultures every Wednesday during lunch.

“Wepa” is lively Puerto Rican slang word that is used throughout Latin America and the Caribbeans. Wepa is versatile expression that signifies excitement, joy, or surprise. #WepaWednesday is frequently used in social media to highlight the ways that people find joy in the middle of the work week.
