PATCO Announces Temporary Overnight Train Suspensions

To prioritize commuter safety, PATCO will temporarily halt overnight weekday train service from midnight to 4 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for six months starting this spring. This suspension will facilitate deep cleaning and extensive maintenance across its 13 stations in South Jersey and Philadelphia.

In addition to interior station work, maintenance will extend beyond the fare gates at key locations, including 12th-13th and Locust Streets and 15th-16th and Locust Streets. The schedule was carefully designed to avoid conflicts with health care worker shifts. Notably, PATCO will maintain 24/7 operations on Fridays and Saturdays.

PATCO has not yet announced a start date for the closures. We will keep you updated as more details become available.
