Temporary Lane Closures and Traffic Changes in Camden

Additional temporary lane closures went into effect around Cooper’s Camden Campus this week. These closures are required for construction teams to access underground utilities over the next several weeks for Project Imagine.

Traffic Impact:

  • Phase 1: Closure of one additional lane on Haddon Avenue.
  • Phase 2: Closure of one additional lane on MLK Boulevard as it approaches Haddon Avenue.

Please note:

  • Work is taking place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., after the morning rush and before the evening rush.
  • Barriers and cones will be removed after each shift to accommodate higher traffic volumes.
  • Each phase is estimated to last approximately three weeks.

Pedestrian Safety: For your safety, please continue to use the sidewalks along the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper side of Haddon Avenue when traveling to 101 Haddon. Alternatively, you may use the crosswalk at 6th Street, between Cooper University Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we see this exciting work come to life.
