Receive Badge Safety Alerts on Your Mobile Device

Stay connected and respond quickly when fellow team members may need support. With Strongline’s mobile alert system, you can be notified immediately if a nearby co-worker activates the silent alarm on their badge. Only team members physically near a colleague in distress will receive notifications—ensuring focused and actionable awareness.

Alerts are delivered as SMS text messages and are compatible with both iPhone and Android devices. You can opt in, opt out, or update your phone number at any time.

iPhone Instructions:

  1. Open the camera app on your iPhone.
  2. Point the camera at the QR code located on the back of your badge button.
  3. When the QR code is recognized, a notification will appear prompting you to open a URL.
  4. Tap the notification to open a webpage displaying your badge details and select the “Update Registration” option.
  5. Tap the “Edit” icon and enter your phone number.
  6. Tap “Update” to save your information.

Android Instructions:

Note: QR code scanning behavior may vary by device. Typical options include:

  1. Check that QR scanning is enabled in your camera settings or control panel. In the Camera app, tap the ☰ (three bars) menu and select Google Lens. Some devices may already support QR scanning directly through the default camera app.
  2. When the QR code is recognized, a notification will appear prompting you to open a URL.
  3. Tap the notification to open a webpage displaying your badge details and select the “Update Registration” option.
  4. Tap the “Edit” icon and enter your phone number.
  5. Tap “Update” to save your information.

Coming Soon: We are currently developing a texting option for all team members. This will allow you to receive proximate alerts directly via SMS on your phone.
