Cooper CME Earns Joint Accreditation With Commendation

We are pleased to announce that Cooper’s Department of Continuing Medical Education has earned Joint Accreditation (JA) with Commendation. This is the highest accreditation status you can achieve in the continuing education world. Only 40 organizations in the country hold this distinguished accreditation. These survey results earn our organization an extra two years of accreditation than the standard term (through July 2031). Prior to this, Cooper was accredited by the ACCME for the past 33 years.

JA allows our learners to earn continuing education credits, maintain licensures and certifications, and enhance their knowledge in an accredited, team-based, and dynamic interprofessional continuing education program.

Loretta Aloi, MBA, Administrative Director of CME, and her team, along with new VP of Education and Research Jonathon Rendina, PhD, MPH, are in the process of determining next steps so that our robust continuing education program can expand to offer certified education for not only physicians but advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and other health care professionals.

Accredited interprofessional continuing education continues to grow in value and impact, which supports learning, better performance, and improved patient care.
