Learn how you can earn a $5,000 referral bonus! Cooper needs an experienced Manager of Coding; and, if you are able to assist with a successful hire you could be eligible for the $5,000 referral bonus incentive.

For any non-management employee who refers an experienced Manager of Coding, who is hired full time, Cooper is offering a $5,000 referral bonus incentive.

Criteria for the referral bonus:

• The only position eligible for the referral bonus payout is a Manager of Coding with 5- to 7-years coding experience in an Acute Care setting. Minimum of three years inpatient coding experience; and, 3- to 5-years supervisory/management experience. RHIT certification or RHIA preferred; or, willing to consider candidate CCS-eligible to sit for CCS exam, but must attain credential within six months of hire. Experience and/or knowledge of outpatient coding: ED, SDS/ASC, observation, interventional radiology, cardiac cath, ancillary, etc. Must have knowledge of various payment systems: MS-DRG, AP-DRG, APR-DRG, APC, etc. Must have strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• The referred applicant must list the referring Cooper employee on their initial employment application to Cooper.

• The bonus payout will be given to the employee who referred the successful candidate. The bonus payout will be paid only if both the referring and referred employees are employed by Cooper at the time of payout cycle. $2,500 to be paid after successful completion of 90-day probationary period of referred employee and the remaining $2,500 after completion of six months.

• Cooper reserves the right to make all final selections and employment decisions.

• Bonus amount noted is taxable income to the employee who receives the bonus.

• The referral program is open to non-management level staff only. Human Resources employees are excluded from participation in the employee referral program.

• Candidates cannot be an existing employee.

• An employee can make more than one referral. However, no more than one employee may receive a referral bonus for any one candidate.

• The employee referral program will end on or before August 31, 2016.

• Management reserves the right to make changes or end the program at any time.
