Reminder: Zika Resources for Care Providers

The CDC is continuing to urge health care providers to play a key role in preparing and educating their communities about the Zika virus. New Jersey makes up roughly 3 percent of travel-related cases, including sexual and in utero transmission, with 91 confirmed and reported cases as of September 7, 2016. Pennsylvania also accounts for 3 percent of travel-related cases with 95 confirmed cases. While there are no locally acquired mosquito-borne cases so far in NJ or PA, all communities need to be prepared and practicing prevention strategies.
