Phishing emails are fraudulent electronic communications designed to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and sometimes, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons. Cybercriminals also use these emails to install malicious software on your computer, which can damage your computer, steal personal information, or get into Cooper’s network. Cybercriminals can use a variety of tactics, including emails or phone calls and may try to convince you to download something from a website.

Contact the Help Desk if you are concerned about an email or a phone call that you have received.
