CMSRU Offers “Friends and Family” Early Registration for MEDacademy 2017

MEDacademy, CMSRU’s popular summer program for high school students interested in becoming physicians, will begin accepting applications later this month. But, early registration for “Friends and Family” of CMSRU begins on Monday, November 14, 2016! This includes faculty, staff and students from CMSRU, Rowan University, and Cooper University Health Care.

MEDacademy is a four-week summer medical education enrichment program for high school juniors and seniors who aspire to become physicians. It provides an opportunity for hands-on experiences and learning that will help refine their interest in health care. With room for only 32 students, it’s important that motivated students apply ASAP for this very competitive program.

Eligible candidates are highly driven, talented students in excellent academic standing (GPA 3.3 or above) and who demonstrate an interest in medicine. Tuition for the four-week program (July 10 through August 4, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) is the same as last year, $2,500, and includes scrubs, stethoscope, daily lunch, field trips, educational resources, graduation reception and ceremony.

For more information and to apply, visit www.rowan.edu/coopermed/medacademy or email medacademy@rowan.edu.

Deadline date for submission of all application materials is Friday, February 17, 2017.
