You Have the Power to Help Save Lives Through Bone Marrow Registry Drives

For thousands of patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, and other life-threatening diseases, a bone marrow transplant may be their best or only hope for a cure. Yet 70 percent of patients who need a transplant to do not have a fully matched donor in their family. They depend on the Be The Match marrow donor registry to find a match to save their life. Be The Match manages the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world.

Join us as Cooper University Health Care hosts Be The Match for two life-saving marrow registry drives:

  • Thursday, September 28, 2017

If you are between the ages of 18-44 and meet the health guidelines you can join the registry. All you need to do is complete a simple questionnaire and give a swab of cheek cells. The Be The Match team will tissue type the sample and use the results to potentially match you to patients in need.
