Wear Red This Friday, February 21, 2014, for National Heart Month

Wear red on Friday, February 21, 2014, to help raise awareness of heart disease in women during National Heart Month. Red scrub tops are allowed on this day only!

Some facts about heart disease in women:
• More women die from heart disease than from all kinds of cancers combined.
• Approximately 42 million women in the United States are affected by heart disease.
• Ninety percent of women have one or more risk factors for developing heart disease.
• Women’s heart disease symptoms are different from men’s and are often hidden or misunderstood.
