CME: Contemporary Practices in Cardiology

The intended audience for this conference includes primary care physicians and specialists in cardiovascular disease. Physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, fellows, residents, medical students, and other physicians with an educational need or interest in this topic may also attend. 

Overall Learner Objectives:

  • Provide an update on dual antiplatelet therapy.
  • Discuss newer medications for systolic heart failure.
  • Identify who is appropriate for treatment with PCSK9 inhibition for hyperlipidemia.
  • Become familiar with atrial fibrillation ablation.
  • Understand surgical procedures for atrial fibrillation.
  • Review indication for implantable loop recorder.
