Co-Gen Project: Is Your Building Closing?

Read more about the co-gen project update and the temporary building closures to see if this affects you.

Cooper has reached the final stage of construction on Cooper’s new power plant, also known as the co-gen project.

Connecting power from the co-gen plant to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, the Education and Research building, and the Sheridan Pavilion requires a temporary shut-down for each of the buildings and the Three Cooper Plaza Garage. Work will take place over three consecutive weekends to limit the impact on our patients, staff, and visitors.

During the dates and times listed below, patients, staff, and visitors will not have access to these buildings:

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper-Camden:

  • Closed Friday, June 7, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, June 10, 2019, at 6:30 a.m.

Sheridan Pavilion:

  • Closed Friday, June 14, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, June 17, 2019, at 6:30 a.m.

Three Cooper Plaza Garage:

  • Closed Friday, June 14, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, June 17, 2019, at 6 a.m. During this time, parking will be available in the CCIA garage.

Education and Research Building:

  • Closed Friday, June 21, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. through Monday, June 24, 2019, at 6:30 a.m.
