Maintaining your health and wellness has been Cooper’s mission for more than 130 years—now more than ever. Our offices are open, with all precautions in place, and we encourage you to resume your health care routine.

Routine Care at Every Age Is Important

  • Regular checkups allow your physician to track your health and, if necessary, make changes to your treatment plan. Time spent in your doctor’s office can pay dividends in building and maintaining a foundation for good health.
  • Your primary care provider is a partner in the management of your daily health and the prevention of disease. Their goal is to help you live the healthiest life possible.
  • Families with children should keep up with routine visits, immunizations, and sports physicals as well as other health care needs to prevent outbreaks of serious diseases such as measles and whooping cough.

Health Screenings Save Lives

  • Adults should not delay scheduling a mammogram, colonoscopy, Pap test, prostate exam, or lung or skin cancer screening.
  • It’s also important to follow the guidelines for screening for serious conditions, such as cancer. Waiting too long can cause a delay in finding cancers early, when they are most treatable.

Resume Specialty Care Appointments and Surgery

  • Do not delay necessary care or surgery that is critical to your long-term health.
  • Maintaining heart, orthopaedic, endocrinology, nephrology and other specialty care appointments is essential.
  • In-person appointments allow specialists to manage challenging health issues with visual cues and open discussion.
  • Regular visits are vital for chronic health conditions, such as hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, and diabetes.
  • Our surgeons’ #1 goal is reducing risk while helping you to get the care you need.

Safeguards Against COVID-19

At Cooper, we have put the following safeguards in place when you visit one of our offices or come to the hospital for a procedure or surgery:

  • Temperature of our staff and patients is taken upon entrance to our facilities. Patients who are not feeling well at the time of their appointment receive assistance in rescheduling their appointment.
  • Physical distancing is maintained throughout our facilities.
  • All staff wear masks, and depending upon their role, some team members wear face shields.
  • Touchless technology has been instituted in many offices throughout Cooper.
  • Appointments are timed to help limit capacity in waiting areas and outpatient offices.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout Cooper facilities.
  • Registration desks have patient protector shields.

It is safe to resume your regular health and wellness visits. From primary care to specialty care, our team looks forward to seeing you in person.
