An Information Technology project at Cooper University Hospital was featured in an article in CMIO magazine. Cooper’s Information Technology department received a “Health IT Innovation Award” for Implementation of cardiology PACS and cardiovascular information system (CVIS) on a virtualized server solution.
The cover-story article, “Health IT Innovation Awards: 5 Health IT Projects that Improved Care,” noted that Cooper’s project was particularly innovative because “virtualization is rare in healthcare IT. CUH is the first hospital in the nation to virtualize McKesson’s CPACS and CVIS.”
