Led by the Pediatric Asthma Care Committee, more than 20 volunteers from around Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper put on the annual Asthma Care Health Fair for first and second graders from Veteran’s Elementary School in Camden. The 85 students spent the morning learning about asthma signs, symptoms, and triggers. Students also learned about smoking cessation, pedestrian and water safety, medication safety, healthy eating and exercise. Next, the students will make posters demonstrating what they learned and winners from each class will be chosen by Asthma Care Committee members. Many thanks to all Team Cooper members who participated!
