Cooper First in the US to Integrate Fully-Automated Dialysis Monitoring in the EHR

Cooper University Hospital is the first hospital in the country to begin the use of an electronic medical system for transmission of real-time critical data on dialysis patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The system, built by NXStage using iSirona software for the interface, allows the physician to monitor complex clinical data from any location in real-time.

Cooper Receives Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award in Heart Failure from the American Heart Association

This award is given only to hospitals that achieve 85 percent or higher adherence to all Get With The Guidelines Heart Failure Performance Achievement indicators to improve quality of patient care and outcomes. Cooper is the only hospital in the region to receive the Gold Plus achievement.

Cooper Honors Camden Medical Pioneers with Permanent Display at Neighborhood Park

Giant interpretive art panels depicting two local luminaries are now on permanent display at a revitalized community park located in the Cooper Plaza neighborhood in Camden City. The artwork honors the late Bascom Waugh, MD, (1909-1992), and the late Lewis L. Coriell, MD, PhD, (1911-2001).
