Physician’s Gift to Fund Clinical Simulation Rooms at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University

A generous gift from a prominent South Jersey physician and his family will help aspiring doctors receive a state-of-the-art education in patient treatment at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU). Dr. Michael Renzi, of Haddonfield, will fund The Renzi Family Clinical Simulation Rooms at CMSRU, for an amount the family wishes not to publicly disclose.

Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper and the Department of Surgery Welcomes New Division Head of Pediatric Surgery

Dr. Grewal joins Cooper from Temple University School of Medicine where he served as the Chief, Section of Pediatric Surgery and Professor of Surgery. During his time at Temple, Dr. Grewal also served as the Medical Director of Pediatric Trauma, Director of the Surgical Skills Laboratory, attending surgeon at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and staff consultant for Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

Cooper Achieves Device Connectivity for EPIC in Just Weeks

As students file into Jace Dutweiler’s Flex Time technology period at Logan Elementary School in Logan Township, they grab kits of Legos and begin to build elaborate projects. Inspired by concepts in The Shut-Down Learner, by Richard Selznick, PhD, for 30 minutes each day this “special” period allows students to show personal gifts that may not show in the regular classroom.

PSE&G Program Will Help Make Cooper University Hospital More Energy Efficient

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) is joining with Cooper University Hospital to help bring substantial energy efficiency improvements to the 600-bed healthcare facility. Funding for the work is through the PSE&G Hospital Efficiency Program, which made $79 million available to perform energy efficiency upgrades at hospitals in the utility’s service territory.
