Every 4th Wednesday of the month, Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper in partnership with Safe Kids Southern NJ and the New Jersey State Police force, will be hosting FREE car seat safety checks for the local South Jersey community.

Residents of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties are being called upon to assist in the study of health in area communities through a telephone survey co-sponsored by five area health providers and three county health departments.

On Saturday, October 13, Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper partnered with Mitsubishi Motors and Kids Safety First to conduct free safety seats checks during Mitsubishi’s Annual East Coast Owners Day event at Campbell’s Field in Camden, N.J.

If you live in Camden, Burlington or Gloucester county, this fall your household may be selected for a random telephone survey. The survey—to be conducted by the Holleran research firm—will take about 15 minutes and will ask questions about your lifestyle and behaviors that impact your health.

You may have seen videos like this before on YouTube—hospital employees dancing to a popular song wearing bright pink gloves to raise awareness about breast cancer. They have become an online “viral” sensation viewed by millions of people throughout the world. The videos, part of a contest sponsored by Medline, are not only entertaining but they’re saving lives in the process. Cooper University Hospital is the only hospital in South Jersey competing in this year’s competition for a chance to win $10,000 towards cancer research.

The Jacobs Music Company staged a unique fundraiser for Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper with a “Perform-A-Thon” October 5-7 at their new location in Cherry Hill. The goal of the event was to get “70 on 70” – 70 musicians from all walks of life to perform throughout the weekend in an oversize tent on Route 70.
