This week, physicians at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper treated their first patient with a groundbreaking new image-guided radiation treatment system that combines magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and linear accelerator radiation treatment (Linac) into one powerful device. The new device gives radiation oncologists the ability to deliver more effective treatment, while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue in complex cases. Read more.

National CRNA Week is an annual celebration of our nation’s more than 57,000 nurse anesthetists. During this week, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) around the country will reflect on the heroic work done as the COVID-19 pandemic began almost one year ago. CRNAs will be looking forward to the continued hard work and efforts as this pandemic continues to march on, while remaining focused on providing safe and effective care to all patients. Today, Cooper University Health Care began vaccinating medical students from its medical school affiliate, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU).

Annette C. Reboli, MD, Dean of CMSRU, kicked off the student vaccination clinic by receiving her first dose of the vaccine, administered by third-year medical student Nicholas Daroshefski.
