Annette C. Reboli, MD, Named NJHA 2016 Healthcare Professional of the Year

The New Jersey Hospital Association today presented Cooper epidemiologist Annette C. Reboli, MD, attending physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Cooper University Health Care and vice dean of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), with its 2016 Healthcare Professional of the Year award.

Dr. Reboli was honored for her clinical and leadership skills, which have had a significant impact on patient care throughout the health system and in the success of New Jersey’s newest medical school. Read more.

Cooper University Hospital First in New Jersey to Earn Premier Certification for Geriatric Fracture Care

Cooper University Hospital is the first in New Jersey and one of only eight hospitals in the nation to achieve the International Geriatric Fracture Society’s (IGFS) Premier Level CORE Certification for its Geriatric Fracture Care Program. This certification recognizes health care organizations that display a commitment to improving the way fractures in senior adults are managed from prevention efforts through treatment, recovery and beyond.

The efforts of the Camden Higher Education and Healthcare Task Force continue to benefit the entire City of Camden, having a total economic impact in 2014 exceeding $2 billion and generating more than 2,300 new jobs at its anchor institutions—CAMcare, Camden County College, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, Cooper University Health Care, Lourdes Health System, Rowan University/Rutgers Camden Board of Governors, Rutgers-Camden and Virtua—according to an economic impact report released earlier today at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

Cooper Presents “Camden” Sweatshirts to City School Children As Part of Its Commitment to Promote Health and Wellness

On Monday, November 9, 2015, executives, physicians and nurses from Cooper University Health Care visited H.B. Wilson Elementary School to kick-off a sweatshirt distribution to all Camden students in grades K-8. The event was designed to promote health and wellness and to increase community pride. The specially branded “Camden” sweatshirts were donated by The Cooper Foundation.

Cooper Receives 2015/2016 Consumer Choice Award

Cooper has won the coveted Consumer Choice Award for 2015-2016. The annual National Research Corporation (NCR) award identifies hospitals across the United States that have been chosen by health care consumers as having the highest quality and the best image. This is the 10th year Cooper has received this honor.

The winners, named in Modern Healthcare magazine, are selected based on consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the NRC’s Market Insights Survey, the largest online consumer health care survey in the country. Read more.
